    Our Amsterdam location

Our studio is on Kraijenhoffstraat in Czaar Peterbuurt, the Eastern Islands district just east of Amsterdam Centrum. It’s Amsterdam’s historic maritime quarter and now the creative center where most of the city’s independent production community is located. That matters for our clients as we can then pull in specialist talent at fairly short notice without a huge logistics overhead. It works well.
The location is practical too. Amsterdam Centraal is 15 minutes away on foot or a short tram ride. Schiphol is 20 minutes from Centraal. That helps when you’re flying in crew from Berlin or a client wants to drop by between morning and afternoon meetings. For filming outside the Centrum, we work across the Netherlands regularly. Rotterdam, Eindhoven, The Hague, and for multi-market EU  creative video productions we pull crew and talent from our London studio or across our wider network.
Based as we are in the Netherlands means our data and IP handling meets GDPR as standard, which matters for clients in regulated sectors. We operate in English and Dutch at the office level.

    FAQs

With over 20 years of experience in professional work, we’ve partnered with some significant names and brands to produce their corporate videos. These companies trust us as their production partner to provide the content that makes their communication stand out in a crowded online world. As a global studio, we have offices worldwide, each with experienced first-class creative, tech and management teams. Each studio can call on specific expertise from others if needed, ensuring we can always deliver the results leading businesses require. This global platform also ensures we can provide consistency, resourcing and management to meet the high standards and delivery schedules major businesses rely on.

Yes, there is, serving not only Amsterdam but also the EU as a whole. We are an established and trusted Amsterdam media company with a fully staffed agency located in the city itself. Our professional production, editing services, post-production and VFX are valued and trusted by local and EU businesses. You can find more details about our Amsterdam agency and Synima itself here.

We film throughout the EU, as well as around the world.
Yes, we go where the commission takes us and routinely film across the Netherlands and EU. We have also produced motion content and animation media based on global location filming.

We produce high-quality, market-proven results but consider ourselves a mid-range agency in pricing terms. As a result, we can deliver work that you (and we) would be proud of. That said, we are flexible, as every commission is different, and we will always produce great results within your available budget.

Geographic diversity is a common situation for our European clients. We manage this by running a review loop at each significant stage so interested parties only need be involved at key moments: Script, rough-cut and final cut for example. All creatives are distributed in a controlled way with access links, time-stamping and dated comments etc. We know that EU markets may have different localized needs so we run review gates in parallel rather than in sequence. That way, you’re not waiting three weeks between the Dutch cut and German cut.

Many of our Amsterdam briefs come with a need for localization. Sometimes it’s a master in English plus Dutch and German versions. Occasionally it’s 6 or 7 languages for a cross-Europe campaign. We make sure to capture and build the localization roadmap at the script stage: we script for translation ease, avoid elements that won’t cross borders, and plan shots that can have multiple audio tracks without re-editing for each market. Our post-production phase runs subtitles, voice-over recording and graphic swaps in parallel rather than sequential. That itself translates into the difference between a three-week localization stage and one that lasts three months.

Several of our Amsterdam clients are in regulated sectors, including life sciences, pharmaceuticals and financial services. In these, content can’t go out until legal, compliance and medical affairs have all signed off. So, we plan reviews around those aspects, rather than treating them as an end-stage issue. We may well invite your compliance team to contribute to script reviews in week one rather than surfacing a needed change in the fourth week. We’re used to requirements such as EMA content guidelines and the internal approval processes that regulated clients use globally.

Located at the gateway to Europe, our Amsterdam team excels at creating multi-lingual video content for the Logistics and Tech sectors in particular (though we’re not limited to those). We work closely with the Netherlands’ thriving Finance and healthcare sectors to deliver media creatives that bridge the gap between technical expertise and human connection. Our familiarity with the Education sector communications ensures that your message travels effectively across borders and cultures.
Of course, our portfolio of work extends much further than the examples above so if you have specific requirements, by all means get in touch to discuss what you need.

You hold full copyright and usage rights across every market, platform and channel, with no geographic restriction. EU rollouts benefit because otherwise you might be using the same creative asset across Germany, France, Spain and the Nordics at the same time. Music and stock licensing works the same way. We clear the rights for your intended territory at the outset, rather than a typical agency approach of clearing rights in a limited way and charging more for extensions later. If your plans change after delivery, you aren’t locked out.

All project data, footage and files are stored within EU-based infrastructure as standard, so there’s no cross-border data transfer complication. Our backup mirroring happens across encrypted European data centers. For clients that have enhanced data residency needs, we can confine specific projects to a Netherlands-only solution if needed. Retention is many years but can be set up to match your policy needs as well. Of course, sensitive material such as unreleased product footage, identifiable people, financial facts & figures and so on, can have additional access controls and routinely do.

There are several stages to any project, and at each major stage, we offer 2-3 revisions for that stage.

The EU AI Act has well understood implications for AI-generated content – transparency requirements around AI-generated media, especially where a person’s likeness is involved. Our Amsterdam team runs AI production within a framework that stays compliant by default: clear labeling of AI-generated content where needed, consent processes for human likeness, and documented provenance of training data for the tools we use. Clients in sectors where AI use is regulated more strictly (finance, healthcare, government comms etc.), we are able to deliver creatives with full AI-use documentation for your own compliance records.
Of course, AI is only one creative option but if you are interested in the potential, innovation and impact that AI content can offer, please look over our AI agency information.
