Pre Production

Venus Optics had asked Synima for two distinct deliverables: a dynamic product video highlighting the lens in action, alongside the stunning resulting footage, and an insightful behind-the-scenes feature. Scouting for the ideal filming locations led the team to the serene landscapes of the eastern Netherlands, where a charming bungalow nestled amidst a captivating forest served as the primary setting. The lush surroundings provided the perfect backdrop to bring Venus Optics’ vision to life.

Production

Shooting this video was a serious undertaking. We had two dedicated units on location, comprising a total of 17 skilled professionals. The creative vision unfolded through the lens of a young couple embarking on a picturesque weekend getaway in the countryside – but behind the camera was a frenzy of activity. Over two days of intensive filming we really put the new lens through its paces, capturing stunning footage that we felt would catch the eye of any video production industry pros.

So…did it work?

The client was thrilled with the end product, and so were we at Synima. The lens allowed us to capture some truly beautiful images (helped of course by the extraordinary location!) and tell a story that both highlighted the technical achievement of the product, as well as the impressive results it was capable of. Both the video and the lens were a huge success at the launch event, receiving amazing feedback from industry professionals.
