Pre Production

With Flexport, we collaboratively developed a custom script alongside a storyboard of custom-made illustrations and original footage that highlights the subject matter.​ The challenge was to produce complex content in an interesting an engaging way, while educating the audiences about complex subject matter. Our designers came up with illustrations and animations that both were on brand with the Flexport aesthetic, while further advancing the brand presence in an interesting, informative and engaging way.

Production

The challenge for the directing team was to work with the subject matter experts and coordinate their actions to match the onscreen animation. We filmed interviews directly to camera with experts from Flexport. Encouraging naturalistic responses from non- professional presenters is a skill in itself, one which Synima greatly prided itself on. In this case though, our job was made easy by a group of experts who were already very comfortable presenting to a camera. The post-production team overlaid the animations we had designed to create the final product.

So…did it work?

The success of this project was very evident. Flexport reported a 76% engagement rate experienced by employees who found the content informative and engaging. Attracting over 300 unique viewers, the course even broke through to Flexport’s marketing department, directly contributing to 4 qualified leads for the company.​
