We knew we only had a little time to tell this story so we felt that a fast-paced video would suit both the subject, and the social media audience. We planned to show three different people, demonstrating the universality of the experience of receiving a gift. The three different gifts could then also give an idea of the breadth of the range of gifts available from moonpig. We’d use plenty of moopig’s signature pink in the set design, which would be a smart looking home.
This was a fun shoot. We had all three actors on set and tracked the camera through its movements so we could cut between the actors seamlessly, giving the appearance of a continual shot. A champagne gold filter gave the aesthetic a dreamy, soft look, and enhanced the pinks and golds of the set design. Each scene of the gift opening is accompanied by a confetti shower which caught our on-set lighting beautifully and gave a real sense of celebration.
Moonpig and Synima love this video which is full of joy and light. We added some sound effects to the movements in the video which give a boost to the dynamic editing, making it feel like we cover a lot of ground in the 25 second run time. Moonpig used this video across its social media interests to drive traffic to its site and create sales.
