Pre Production

Synima achieved this by giving the VR500 the big-screen Hollywood treatment. We produced a premium-looking, cinematic video, illustrating the creation of the product and highlighting its beautiful, intricate details. We wanted to show the creation of a piece of equipment that took in its entire lifespan, starting with the concept and ending with the product in use. We chose to use no dialogue and simply allow the visuals and soundtrack to tell the story of a highly functional, but also beautiful, device.

Production

Synima spent three days in Germany shooting the video at Honeywell’s manufacturing facility. With careful lighting, we wanted to isolate the robots involved in the process from their environment. They appear as if they exist in darkness, lit only by the incidental light of the production process. We used the futuristic dynamism of the robots, extreme close-ups of the process and constant camera movement to tell the complete story, from drawing board to the final product.

So…did it work?!

Honeywell loved the video! They agreed that its high-concept, cinematic style really caught the eye and imbued the subject with a surprising amount of emotion. The technology looks futuristic and gives the viewer a lot of confidence in the product. With interests in many different manufacturing sectors across multiple industries, Honeywell has regularly trusted Synima to communicate its messages to the world. This particular video stands out for its creative visual impact and surprisingly emotional punch.
